Tapered legs — beech & oak

Tapered wooden furniture legs, cut to your taper.

Straight tapered legs in square or round section, machined from solid beech and oak to the taper and length on your drawing — in series, by a furniture legs manufacturer working since 1999.

What a tapered leg is

A tapered leg narrows steadily from the top towards the foot. In square section it gives a crisp, architectural line; in round section it looks lighter and softer. Plain tapered legs are a staple of mid-century and Scandinavian-style furniture, and they suit almost any piece that should look light on its feet.

They are a classic for dining tables, sofas and sideboards, and are just as common under armchairs, benches, beds and cabinets — wherever a clean line matters more than ornament.

How we machine them

We machine tapered legs to whatever taper and length your drawing calls for, in square or round section, and sand them ready for staining or lacquer. Give us the dimensions at the top and at the foot and the overall length, and every leg in the batch comes out the same.

The timber is Romanian beech and oak, kiln-dried before machining so the legs stay straight, and every leg is checked by hand before packing. Staining and lacquering are done in-house if you want the legs finished rather than raw.

From prototype to series

First we machine a prototype for your approval and quote the series, material and finish included. Then we produce the series on our own machines — no subcontracting. The minimum order is 500 pieces per reference, and we export to furniture makers in Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
