Turned legs — beech & oak

Turned wooden furniture legs, made to your profile.

MOBIPART is a manufacturer of turned wooden furniture legs in solid beech and oak. Wooden legs are our main product: we turn them to your drawing, template or sample in Vâlcea, Romania, and have done so since 1999.

What a turned leg is

A turned leg is shaped on the lathe. The blank spins while the profile is cut into it, so the leg is round in section and can carry beads, coves, steps and tapers along its length. It is the classic leg of traditional furniture and is just as common in contemporary designs, from slim spindles to short, sturdy sofa legs.

Furniture makers specify turned legs for dining and occasional tables, chairs, sofas and armchairs, beds and cabinets. Upholsterers usually need short turned legs; table and chair makers need longer ones that carry the whole piece.

How we manufacture them

We turn legs in series, with an identical profile across the whole batch. Send your technical drawing, a template or a sample leg and we match the profile exactly. If you only have a sketch, we can develop the component with you.

Every blank is kiln-dried before machining, so the legs hold their shape, and every piece passes through a craftsman’s hands before packing — not a sample, each one. Staining and finishing are done in-house: legs leave us raw, stained or lacquered, as your order specifies.

Prototype first, then the series

We machine a first article for your approval and return a firm quote for the series, material and finish included. The minimum order is 500 pieces per reference. We supply furniture manufacturers and upholsterers in Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands, with the legs cardboard-packed and palletised for transport.
